The Research published in the advisory series is our own opinion about the market and the individual stocks and/or commodities as may be specified from time to time, and though they are expressed in good faith, are not guaranteed. Be advised that the market service that never makes mistakes does not exist. Long term success in any market demands recognition of the fact that error and uncertainty are part of any effort to assess future probabilities. Also be advised that all analysis is based on daily price movements and not intra-day price movements, and that it is possible that our Research may or may not develop over consecutive, multiple, settlement periods on the bourses.
ChartAlert® — collectively, "We" "Us" — is committed to safeguarding your privacy online.
This policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.
We gather two types of data about users:
A subscriber may at any time cancel his or her registration by sending us an email.
Evaluation Trial, Subscription Charges and Subscription Renewal Charges once paid are non-refundable.
Personal information is gathered in several ways.
First, when a user registers for an Evaluation Trial, he or she is required to provide his or her name, city of residence, email address, login name/password, contact telephone numbers and billing address to process the transaction.
Then, if a demo or an Evaluation Trial user decides to upgrade to a Paid subscription, in addition to the above mentioned information, he or she may provide, at their option, with their designation, business and/or home addresses, and other telephone numbers as well.
Although all of this information may be generally entered into fields on a secure area of the website, subscribers can talk offline to a customer service representative and receive an invoice in the mail.
Email Communications and Opting Out
E-mail is an important communication channel between us and our customers. We also use e-mail to communicate with prospective customers. Subscribers may receive various email updates that are sent out on a periodical basis containing trading strategies, selected articles and market information, together with some advertisements and hyperlinks to the host website. Any subscriber who wishes to be removed from the mailing lists of one or more of these updates can do so at any time by emailing our Customer Service Desk. We may also use your e-mail address to send you information about services and products we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not want to receive e-mail related to a third party's services and products, simply send us an email at our Customer Service Desk.
At certain times, users who have registered for Evaluation Trials may be asked to participate in surveys, which are generally aimed at obtaining general information about our Evaluation Trial users, for example, their investment experience or their reactions to a particular article. Because information obtained in these surveys is connected with individual subscribers and is used internally to better market our services, participation is voluntary. In addition, some columnists will on occasion take polls of their readers. Such polls are solely for the editorial use of the individual columnists, and participation is voluntary.
We use information obtained from our users to enhance their experience on the website and/or software.
We do not rent or sell any personal information about our Subscribers or other users. As a general rule, we will not disclose any personal information to any third parties, except when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or if the subscriber has given permission, for example by voluntarily entering a contest, where the information required to register for the particular contest is provided to the partner operating the contest.
We limit the collection and use of personal information to what is necessary to administer our business and to deliver superior service to you. This may include advising you about our products or services, those of our affiliates, and other opportunities that we believe may interest you. To serve you better, we may combine information you give us on the Web or through other channels.
We protect the confidentiality of any personal information you share with us: Our corporate policies require that employees with access to confidential customer information may not use or disclose the information except for business use. All employees are required to safeguard such information, as specified in their confidentiality agreements with us. On occasion we may assist a company that is not affiliated with ChartAlert in providing or offering a product or service to you. In such circumstances, the material will include instructions on how you can request not to receive those communications in the future. We do not allow any non-affiliated company to retain your personal information longer than necessary to provide the product, service, or information, unless you affirmatively grant us permission to do so.
The accuracy of your personal information is important to us. If you are an Evaluation Trial or a paid Subscriber and have a concern about your personal or account information maintained at ChartAlert, or want to correct, update, or confirm your information, please send us an email at Customer Service Desk. We will be happy to review and update our records.
If you identify any error in your personal information or need to make a change to that information, please contact us by email and we will promptly update our records.
Cookies enhance our website performance in several important ways: they allow us to understand how people are using our website so that we can improve your experience on the website, they personalise your experience on our website, they make your visit to our website more convenient for you, and they track the pages visited by you. Cookies used by us are encoded and do not contain subscriber passwords. The individual information gathered in this manner is used for internal purposes only.
We also use the information on an aggregate basis, to track the readership of articles and analyse traffic patterns on our website. Aggregate data may also be provided to our advertisers and partners, enabling them to better target their advertisements to our users. None of the information provided to them can be connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users. In addition, advertisers that serve ads on our website may use their own cookies.
We also collect IP addresses through registration forms for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.
Your subscriber account information and your profile are password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information. You may correct your personal information as explained in Section 5 above.
We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or an Internet cafe.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online — for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas — that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account or personal information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.
